HOOVER DAM VISITOR CENTER: PASSAGEWAY

This 14-screen experience transports visitors back in time to the early days of construction on the Hoover Dam. Created with a mix of original photography, greenscreen reenactments, 3D animation and archival imagery, the show has an accompanying multi-speaker soundscape and interactive element where visitors can trigger a dynamite explosion. Produced with the Bureau of Land Management and Northern Light Productions.
FATE IN THE BALANCE

A short film projected onto a basement wall at James Madison’s Virginia home tells the story of an enslaved girl and her family who lived and worked in the space. Created with a mix of reenactments and 2D illustrations and scripted from excerpts of real diaries and letters. Produced with James Madison’s Montpelier and Northern Light Productions.
NEW JERSEY HALL OF FAME: HOMETOWN TOURS

These virtual reality experiences feature the voices and stories of multiple New Jersey icons such as Gloria Gaynor and J.R.R. Martin, who take visitors for a spin around their hometowns. The immersive films include 11K 360-film production, animated overlays and original celebrity interviews. Produced with Northern Light Productions.

ABOUT
I started making movies 35 years ago with a Hi8 camcorder and modeling clay. While stopmotion has taken a back seat to documentary film, some things stay the same: the thoughtful composition of every frame, the balance of organization vs spontaneity, a curiosity about how the world works, and an obsession with telling stories from unlikely perspectives.
Equal parts cinematographer, animator, editor, and media designer, I love a good multidisciplinary collaboration (and bonus points if it involves running up a mountain). I grew up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, went to Emerson College in Boston, and for the last 15 years have been the Director of Photography at Northern Light Productions.
